Approx 7.25 x 4.5 inches. Mounting residue to the verso of the integral blank leaf and some browning from the glue that was originally used to affix it in an album. Slight chip to lower right corner, not affecting text. All else very.....

Exhibition of the Work of Industry of All Nations, 1851 ('The Great Exhibition). Hyde Park, London. 15th October 1851.   A large certificate on heavy paper. 51.5 cms x 35 cms (20.5 x 14 inches). Circular engraved cartouche designed by George Thomas Doo and engraved by William Dyce and engravings of the exhibitors medal, designed by William Wyon, which was presented with the certificate.   Central fold with slight edge tears. Some mounting residue along fold line on verso where the certificate had.....

The Great Exhibition (1851) Exhibitors Season Ticket. Season ticket of Admission to the Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations 1851 ('The Great Exhibition') This ticket of admission no.2670 was issued to T[homas] F[oster] Gimson of The Park, Nottingham. Staying at The Bedford, Convent [sic] Garden. It is signed by him, as was required, and this gave him admission to the Exhibition for its duration.   Stout card. 8.5 x 5 cms (3.25 x 1.75 inches). Engraved decorative border. Rules printed on verso.  In fine condition.     Thomas Gimson (formerly of Tiverton, Devon) had taken out patents for various.....

Henslow."    8vo. 19 x 11 cms (7.25 x 4.5 inches). Some old mounting stains to verso, else fine.   John Stevens Henslow is now best known for his considerable scientific influence on the young.....

Addressed to Dr. Rumker at the Observatory, the School of Navigation in Hamburg. Mentioning two other gentlemen and giving his address in Paris.   Measures approx. 5.5 x 4.75 inches. Two horizontal creases. The verso has his red sealing-wax seal still attached but lacks part of the flap. Slight marking and age toning to edges.
