AMELIA EARHART AUTOGRAPH Signature American pioneer aviatrix. The first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic.   Autograph signature on paper piece, measuring approx 5 x 3.75 inches. Light foxing spots, else fine.   Amelia Earhart set many aviation records but is best remembered for her solo crossing of the Atlantic Ocean in her Lockheed Vega monoplane on 20th May, 1932.  Four years earlier, she had become the first woman to fly accross the Atlantic when she made the crossing with Wilmer Stultz and Louis Gordon.  Amelia Earhart disappeared over the Pacific whilst attempting a circumnavigational flight round the globe in.....

Daughter of Prince Louise of Wales.   Photograph, signed on image by Alexandra.  An informal snapshot showing the Princess in nurses uniform and wearing the Order of the Royal Red Cross.   The photograph measures approx 4 x 3 inches (excluding mount) and is mounted on card.  The mount bears evidence of having been trimmed at foot and it appears that, at one time, there was also a signature of Alexandra on the mount below the photograph. ENRICO CARUSO Autograph Self-portrait Signed. Italian tenor singer.   Autograph self-portrait signed. With good full signature and the words added in Caruso's hand "London. 1914". Together with an extract from the Yorkshire Herald of 6th August 1921 which gives the history and provenance of the portrait.   The self-portrait measures approx 7 x 4.5 inches. On paper. There are old glue stains at borders and slight edge damage where it had previously been mounted in a frame and the paper has some light foxing and age toning. Mounting traces to verso. This is not a clipped signature from a letter but a specimen autograph written purposely for a collector.   From the album of Miss Evelyn Grey, a young lady who began collecting autographs to pass the time whilst convalescing in hospital during the First World War. Mounted on a post-card, which is addressed on the verso to W.H. Richardson, 77 High Street, Redcar.   Approx 5.5 x 3.5 inches.Fine.   General Louis Botha fought with distinction in the Second Boer War and was in command at the battles of Colenso and Spioen Cop and was the man who captured Winston CHURCHILL. After the fall of Pretoria, Louis Botha fought on, mounting a series.....

The line of text on the verso reading "I found Isabel and her [nice?] brother". "Isabel" is identified in pencil in another hand as being Lady Burton.   Contained within the original 19th century collector's folding paper docket. The paper piece measures approx. 1 x 4 inches. Slight age marking but in very good condition.   Sir Richard Francis Burton was one of the most colourful characters of the 19th.....
