EDWARD THOMAS autograph Note Signed. Philip Edward Thomas. British (Anglo-Welsh) poet. Killed at the Battle of Arras in 1917.   ANS on post-card. Week Green, Petersfield.  3rd May 1910.  To A[rthur] St John Adcock.   "May I have copies of these books?  'George Meek, Bathchair Man' by Himself. 'Pompey the Great' by John Masefield. 'An Introduction to the Study of Literature' by W.H. Hudson.  Edward Thomas".   Post-card measures approx. 4.5 x 3.5 inches.  Mounting traces to corners. VG.   Edward Thomas was working as a literary critic for the Daily Chronicle.  He did not become a poet until 1914.....

ANTHONY TROLLOPE autograph Signature from foot of an ALS. British (English) novelist. Author of the Barsetshire Chronicles, etc.   Paper piece cut from foot of a letter with 8 words in Anthony Trollope's hand, signed and dated by him, September 8th 1866.   Approx 4.5 x 2.5 inches. Mounting traces to verso. Very good.   At the date of this letter Anthony Trollope was still working for the Post Office. By 1867, however, he had earned enough from his writing to resign his position and become a full-time novelist...

EDGAR WALLACE Signed Photograph. English prolific author and crime writer. Creator of King Kong.   Original photograph, signed.   Approx 9.5 x 7.5 inches. Gelatin silver print by Cyril Stanborough, signed in negative by the photographer and with his rubber stamp on verso.   Slight mounting traces at top and bottom edges of verso and with slight silvering to edges of image, else fine.   An excellent image of Edgar Wallace, showing him head and shoulders in profile with hat and with his trademark long cigarette holder. He casts a dramatic shadow on the otherwise featureless backdrop.  The photograph is undated.....
